Ghost Hunts at the oldest pub in Ilfracombe Devon

Dating back to 1360, the oldest pub in Ilfracombe is a traditionalist’s dream: with wooden beams, large fireplaces and, if you’re lucky, a ghost or two, it’s a throwback to the pubs of old.

Original name was St George and Dragon.

There are reported about 60 plus spirits who like to visit the pub something to do with its calm friendly manor.

Unexplained paranormal sightings

An old weathered lady appears sitting in one corner of the pub and a lady with her child stood near the fireplace.

Footsteps have been heard from upstairs and a shadow has been seen walking from the entrance to the ladies toilet/kitchen towards the corner where the old lady is seen sitting.

Staff and partons reports a dog brush past them on a regular basis.

Glasses fall from the bar, stools move and equipment being turned on and off could be mischievous staff or something else.
